I've seen some guitars that go for twice that amount..., guitars are fucking crazy priced. Some are gorgeous machines though that's for sure. Guns don't really interest me, I do like shot guns though.

I'm using cannister filters on the 120 and 75 gallon tanks, and homemade sponge filters on the 33 gallon tank which I have not posted pics of.

The filters for the 120 are the Rena Filstar XP 4 and XP 2

I normally clean them every 2 weeks, with the tanks substrate getting "vacuumed" every 3 days along with 2 50% water changes and 1 20% water change a week.

On the 75 I have the XP 3 which, size wise is in between these 2 filters. The xp2 holds 2 baskets for media (bottom basket has 4 sponges varying in density, the top basket has pot scrubbers and filter floss), the xp 4 holds 4 baskets which has 4 sponges in the bottom like the XP 2, then the middle 2 baskets have bio stars and ceramic rings, and then the top basket has more pot scrubbers and filter floss to "polish" the water. In the xp3 on the 75 it holds 3 baskets, and it's set up exactly like the XP 4 minus the extra basket the XP 4 holds.

Should get to between 12-14" once fully grown. I also have an albino Senegal but for some reason they tend to be more short bodied and max out around 10"

It's not that much work, each tank gets at least a 50% water change and sand vac a week, I try to fit in a second 25%-40% change in whenever I can. Also do bi-weekly cleanings of the filters.

Everything is looking great.

Aquariums are like pools, everyone thinks it's a lot of work but if you do your maintenance there's not too much time involved. Nature takes care of a lot of stuff as long as it's all balanced.
